The NBA 2K League has suspended NetsGC’s Randolph “Rando” Moreno for violating the player code of conduct, the league announced Friday.

Moreno’s suspension will last for the duration of the 2020 season. The league did not specify what violation had been committed. Fellow NetsGC teammate Isaiah “Wavy” Hancock was fined $750, also for violating the player code of conduct. Following the announcement, Rando posted an apology video on Twitter:

NetsGC acquired Rando from Hawks Talon GC over the offseason in exchange for the 16th overall pick in the 2020 entry draft. The team is scheduled to begin remote play in week three; Hawks Talon GC started the season 3-1.
Rando is not the first player suspended for a code of conduct violation. Boo Painter, the league’s leading scorer in 2018, was suspended indefinitely before the 2019 offseason; Timelycook was suspended for the 2019 season but was drafted in the first round by Raptors Uprising GC after serving his suspension and being readmitted for the 2020 season.
