Eric “Timelycook” Donald has been suspended from the NBA 2K League for the duration of the 2019 season, the league announced today.
The league announced that Donald had violated the league’s code of conduct and would be suspended.
Donald was selected in the third round of the 2018 NBA 2K League draft by Kings Guard Gaming, and, alongside Worthingcolt, was protected by the team for season two. Kings Guard Gaming will receive a third-round compensatory pick to fill out their roster, per the league protocol for replacing protected players.
Donald becomes the second player to be extracted from team rosters by the NBA 2K League. Wizards District Gaming player Austin “Boo” Painter was dismissed and disqualified by the league on November 12, similarly for violating the league’s code of conduct. The length of time for Painter’s dismissal is uncertain.
Update: The league confirmed the suspension in a tweet on Tuesday, citing the “sharing of inappropriate and offensive videos over social media” for its decision.
