NetsGC has acquired sharpshooter Rando from Hawks Talon GC in exchange for Pacers Gaming’s first-round pick, 16th overall, in the NBA 2K League 2020 entry draft, the teams announced today.
Rando had requested a trade out of Atlanta prior to the trade window, sources told DIMER at the time, along with then-teammate Dat Boy Shotz.
Rando was selected in the second round of the 2019 entry draft by Atlanta, averaging 14.7 points per game and 4.1 assists per game in split time between sharpshooter and point guard.
The shooting guard is now on the move to Brooklyn for the 16th overall pick in the upcoming entry draft, acquired by the Nets in a deal that sent NateKahl to Indiana. He’ll join protected center Shuttles and retained point guard Wavy.zay, with the 9th overall pick in the entry draft still in the Nets’ pocket.
The Hawks roster will be revamped heading into the season. Rando’s former teammate Dat Boy Shotz was traded to Kings Guard Gaming last Friday in a mega-deal that sent point guard and MVP finalist BP to Atlanta. With just BP on the roster now, the Hawks will have five picks to build around their newly acquired point guard.
