Wasn’t gonna speak on this, but just wanted you all to know I will not be competing in season 3 of the league, it’s not my call; i respect the decision but been super let down over the weekend. Grinding for 250k and the PNO tourney are top priorities moving forward.
Boo Painter was dismissed and disqualified on Nov. 12, 2018, for reasons undisclosed by the league beyond violating the code of conduct. He was drafted in the second round of the inaugural NBA 2K League draft by Wizards District Gaming, leading the league with 33.1 points per game as a small forward and power forward and helping the Wizards secure a playoff berth.
Timelycook, a third-round pick in that same draft for Kings Guard Gaming, was suspended on the morning of the NBA 2K League 2019 entry draft for violating the player code of conduct by sharing inappropriate and offensive videos on social media, according to the league.
Timelycook’s suspension was for the 2019 season, and he was eligible for reinstatement on the condition that he complete sensitivity training.
Boo Painter’s disqualification, meanwhile, is indefinite, and thus nothing has been changed on the matter, the league source said.
Timelycook will be slotted into the 2020 entry draft pool, as Kings Guard no longer holds his rights.
