Celtics Crossover Gaming has acquired MOAM from Heat Check Gaming for its second-round pick in the NBA 2K League 2020 entry draft, the team announced Thursday.
To complete the trade, the Heat retained MOAM at the cost of a fourth-round pick before dealing him to Celtics Crossover Gaming. The Heat now have five picks in the draft after protecting Hotshot and Majestic from expansion and trading Majestic to Blazer5 Gaming last week.
Heat Check acquired MOAM, a high second-round pick in 2019, from Jazz Gaming in the middle of the 2019 season before the end of the in-season trade window, sending 2019 first-round pick Lotty to the Jazz in return.
MOAM averaged 15.8 points and 2.2 steals per game across 11 regular season contests for the Jazz and Heat. He shot 57% from the field and 48% from beyond the arc in the regular season.
In a corresponding move, the Celtics retained 2019 first-round pick Bully, giving them a five-man roster of oFab, Mel East, No Autographs, Bully and MOAM heading into the entry draft, along with its own fourth-round pick.
