After impressing NBA 2K League coaches and scouts at the European Invitational in London last week, five players were selected for the draft pool of the NBA 2K League’s third season. I caught up with the five players to hear how they felt about being chosen:
AveMario32 (@avemario32) – PF/C, Spain
“It means everything to me, especially after feeling what it’s to be in the stage I can’t miss this year. This is my dream and I’m gonna do whatever it takes to chase it”
WelshJordy- (@WelshJordy7) – SF/C, Wales
“Making the pool is amazing for me, after getting denied last year when I thought I was at the top of my game was so demoralising. I’ve always wanted a career in gaming as a pro I’ve switched from a top amateur Call of Duty player to 2K and I’m here now pursuing this dream. To make it and represent Europe would be a dream come true.”
MGoCrzy (@MGoCrzy) – PG/SG, Germany
“It means the world to me, but obviously the job is not done here, now it’s on. I only need 1 team to believe in me, I know I can compete with the best in the world & i’m ready to show that.”
Edduardopv (@edduardopv) – PG/SG, Spain
“Being a point guard requires a lot of responsibility so it means a lot that actual 2K League coaches think that I’m capable of doing that at the highest level”
JLB_2K (@JLB_2K) – PF/C, Germany
“It means a lot! I felt that there were a lot of great players at the invitational and a lot of them were deserving of an email. I know I could have done a lot more and played better individually but I feel like as a team we played pretty well and exceeded expectations. It’s a great feeling to have earned a spot in the pool but it’s only one step in the process.”
