It’s no secret ZDS, selected by the 76ers in the sixth round of the inaugural NBA 2K League entry draft, wanted back in Philadelphia after the team wasn’t able to protect him this offseason. While Hornets Venom GT jokingly hinted plenty of times they would snatch ZDS away from the 76ers in the expansion draft, it was actually Gen.G who took him with the third overall pick with the intention of shipping him back to Philly.
The 76ers will return a deadly core of Radiant, Steez, BreadwinnerLA and ZDS for season three after falling just short of a title in season two.
ZDS was a sparkplug for the 76ers offense in season two, averaging 17.5 points per game on 53.8% shooting from the field and 47.2% shooting from beyond the arc, including a 39-point outing against Mavs Gaming in week seven and a 42-point performance in week eight against NetsGC.
For Gen.G, the move means they have just second overall expansion draft pick Turnupdefense on the roster, but along with the 5th and 22nd overall picks plus two second-round picks.
For the 76ers, the move also means they will not be able to retain Newdini, after spending their first and second picks to get ZDS back.
