KennyGotWork is bringing home some extra hardware today. For the third time in just eight weeks, the Toronto point guard earns the NBA 2K League’s player of the week award.
Kenny averaged 33 points and 9 assists per game on 68% shooting en route to a perfect 2-0 record during the week. The award continues a long line of success for the talented Raptors guard, who prioritizes team success above all else. Kenny was also named the May Player of the Month.
Kenny and his teammates will enjoy a week nine bye before diving back into action against Pacers Gaming during week ten.
Only point guards have won the weekly award in 2020, with Kenny Got Work and 2019 MVP MamaImDatMan each wining twice in the first month of the season. Jazz Gaming point guard Splashy and NetsGC rookie Choc have also won the Player of the Week award this year.
Fan voting accounts for 50 percent of the vote to determine the weekly winner. NBA 2K League teams and officials each account for an additional 25 percent of the vote. The same voting structure holds true for the Player of the Month selection at the end of each month.
