For a moment, it looked like Mama would break the record that seemed never meant to be broken.
Nidal “MamaImDatMan” Nasser, the 2019 NBA 2K League MVP, almost set the NBA 2K League single-game scoring record, but set the regulation record by scoring 77 points against Bucks Gaming in the first game of their week four series,Mama finished with a 30/35 shooting performance, including 7/8 from beyond the arc, and also dished out eight assists. Blazer5 Gaming won the game 105-62.
The all-time record was set by AuthenticAfrican in 2018 with 84 points against 76ers GC. What makes today’s feat even more impressive is that Mama set his record in regulation, on point guard, while AuthenticAfrican set the record in triple-overtime on season one’s overpowered shot-creating slasher build. Authentic went 40-of-55 from the field in his record-setting performance. He scored 64 points in regulation to set the previous scoring record of 64 points in regulation.
Mama had a record 31 points in the first quarter, which enabled him to trigger the Team Takeover mechanism, giving Blazer5’s entire roster upgraded attributes for several minutes. He finished the first half with 46 points (also a record) on perfect 17/17 shooting and scored 71 points through three quarters.

pathetic
The Bucks certainly did their best to limit Mama, once the writing was on the wall. Players held the ball until the end of the shot clock and triple- and quadruple-teamed Mama in the fourth quarter. Milwaukee scored nine points in the fourth quarter. Similar to Wilt Chamberlain’s record-setting 100 points, the Blazers occasionally attempted to foul to retrieve the ball in the fourth.
Blazer5 Gaming sits 2-0 on the season.
