NetsGC announced its two tournament draft pool selections following the conclusion of its online Pro-Am Tournament: ShiftyKaii and BRICH.
This was the second tournament of its kind, where NBA 2K League teams can host an online or offline tournament for players to earn spots in the entry draft pool for season three in 2020. Each team has the ability to distribute two spots in the entry draft pool, as well as cash prizes to the other winning participants.
NetsGC’s tournament was strictly for the Xbox One console. By virtue of playing on a single console, the Nets were able to select one player from the winning team as well as the MVP of the entire tournament.

ShiftyKaii is a member of GodTamed, the team that also won the Hornets Venom GT Tournament. He is part of an electric backcourt duo with GlennRatty, who was selected to the draft pool by the Venom. Some speculated Kaii would get the nod after winning the first tournament, but since he didn’t, he was able to earn his spot here.

BRICH was more of a player who came out of nowhere. Some were aware of the skillset BRICH possessed, especially those that have played with him in Team Up throughout the years, but his performance in this tournament was one to remember. Coming up just short of the title, BRICH willed his team, InYoHead2k, to a big win in the final four against OnSight.
With two tournaments down, we are noticing a trend of point guard selections for the pool. This makes sense as a lot of teams desire point guards in this year’s entry draft. It will be interesting to see if and when there is a shift to other positions being selected.
NetsGC has the ninth overall pick in the 2020 entry draft. It acquired the sixteenth overall pick from Pacers Gaming before flipping it to Hawks Talon GC for sharpshooter Rando. The team protected Shuttles, its second-round pick in the 2019 entry draft, and retained Wavy.zay, its first-round selection in 2019.
