The 2019 NBA 2K League Finals are here. Third-seeded 76ers GC, regarded among the pre-season favorites, is in the Finals, shocking few. It’s fourth-seeded T-Wolves Gaming, who sat just 3-6 at the end of May, who are the surprise team in the Finals. Being the surprise team worked out for inaugural champions Knicks Gaming in 2018, but we’ll see if that trend persists this year too.
For now, let’s take a look at how T-Wolves Gaming and 76ers GC stack up on numbers alone.
Team Stats
The 76ers are on an eight-game winning streak, playoffs included. They haven’t lost since dropping a game to the Grizz on June 26. For the second consecutive season, the 76ers won the Tipoff Tournament; they also made the final of the Turn Tournament in Las Vegas.

Point Guard: Radiant (76ers GC) vs. BearDaBeast (T-Wolves Gaming)
Radiant, the 14th overall pick in the 2018 draft, earned his first MVP nomination this season after an eyebrow-raising snub last year. He was named Tipoff Tournament MVP for the second consecutive season and took home All-NBA 2K League Second Team honors at the end of the year.

He was named player of the week twice in the season’s final three weeks, including after a playoff-clinching masterpiece that included a game-winning assist to beat Blazer5 Gaming.

Shooting Guard: Newdini (76ers GC) vs. TURNUPDEFENSE (T-Wolves Gaming)
The 76ers drafted Newdini in the second round of the 2018 draft and retained him following the 2018 season. While he primarily played on a sharpshooting build in 2018, he moved to lockdown defender this year, staying in the starting lineup.

TURNUPDEFENSE is the lone member of T-Wolves Gaming with playoff experience, although he was Cavs Legion GC’s sixth man for the duration of their 2018 run to the semifinals. Drafted by T-Wolves Gaming in the second round of the 2019 entry draft, TURNUP has played every game after immediately slotting into the lineup as a lockdown defender.

Small Forward: ZDS (76ers GC) vs. JMoneyRep817 (T-Wolves Gaming)
In the 2018 draft, 76ers GC found a sixth-round gem in ZDS, who has yet to miss a start and has turned into one of the league’s best shooters. ZDS set a 2019 season record with 52 points in the team’s week 12 win.
