Raptors Uprising GC has agreed to a deal to acquire Sick from Cavs Legion GC in exchange for All Hail Trey, the two teams announced Monday.
The trade marks Cavs Legion’s second trade and their second involving a player they protected in 2018, after Hood was traded in the league’s first trade window. The team has struggled offensively, starting the season 3-3, and looked to acquire a point guard or secondary scorer after point guard LYKaPRO was suspended for the TURN tournament and three regular-season games. Throughout five regular season games, Trey has averaged 15 points per game on over 50% shooting from the field.
“Trey is an outstanding perimeter shooter that can also drive the ball and score from the paint,” said Muraco. “Above that, he is a great teammate and a vocal leader who we’ve always respected from afar. His leadership skills, along with his ability to score from anywhere on the floor, will be a welcome addition to our team.”
Raptors Uprising will likely slot Sick into the frontcourt along Uprising veteran KingQuai, either at center or power forward. The team reintegrated first-round pick Doza into the starting lineup, and will likely move 2018 first-round pick Kenny to small forward as a secondary ballhandler. One of the more versatile big men in the league, Sick is averaging 18.2 points and 2.5 steals per game in the regular season on 59% shooting from the filed (52% from beyond the arc).
With the trade, Cavs Legion GC becomes the third NBA 2K League team to use up both of its trade window transactions. The team sent leading scorer Hood to T-Wolves Gaming at the 2018 expansion draft. T-Wolves Gaming subsequently dealt Hood to Heat Check Gaming. Pistons GT is the other team to use up its transactions: the team traded MVP candidate Ramo to Pacers Gaming in the 2018 trade window before dealing MrStylez (selected with the pick acquired for Ramo) to Hawks Talon GC for DevGoss.

If the trade is processed by Sunday night, the players will be available to play in their teams’ week 5 games. Cavs Legion GC plays Heat Check Gaming and Jazz Gaming on Wednesday and Thursday, respectively, while Raptors Uprising has a bye week before taking on Blazer5 Gaming and Lakers Gaming in week 6.
