With Grizz Gaming releasing its logo via a Twitter announcement from the Memphis Grizzlies on Thursday evening, the curtain has closed on the week of reveals in the NBA 2K League.
Not only did the team release a logo, it also revealed a “Grizz + Grind” graphic and tagline, reminiscent of the “Grit and Grind” motto of their NBA parent team, the Memphis Grizzlies.
The team also provided a press release for the announcement.
“As someone who has voraciously consumed both basketball and video games for my entire life, being the General Manager of Grizz Gaming is in many ways the culmination of my life’s work,” said Grizz Gaming General Manager Lang Whitaker in the press release. “I’m looking forward to grinding non-stop as Grizz Gaming prepares to take part in the inaugural season of the NBA 2K League, where we will grit and grind and do our best to represent Memphis and the passionate fans of esports. I always told my Mom that playing video games would one day pay off. Today is that day.”
A website for the team has also gone live.
