A full-fledged round of sweeps.
T-Wolves Gaming became the last team finish off broom duty and they capitalized in style, eliminating fourth-seeded Kings Guard Gaming in two swift games.
Four first-round series. Four first-round sweeps.
T-Wolves Gaming won game one, 64-51.
They seemed to take control of the game from opening tip. Both sides of the ball were clicking for the Wolves in this one, especially the defense with TURNUPDEFENSE and iFeast. BearDaBeast finished with 23 points and 11 assists, while JoJo totalled 17 points at center. It also looked as if Kings Guard lacked energy. Even on-site, they didn’t have much of a turnout fan-wise.
T-Wolves Gaming then went on to win game two, 56-49.
Kings Guard didn’t seem to figure things out until the second half of this one. They only scored 7 points in the first quarter, one of their worst first quarters this year. Yet they still found a way to get it back to a 1-point game late in the fourth. But it still wasn’t enough. For the T-Wolves, Bear once again came to play, finishing with a game-high 22 points and 9 assists to complete the sweep.
T-Wolves Gaming is still in competition with Celtics Crossover for hottest team in the league right now, and both teams get a chance to continue their streaks in the semifinals. T-Wolves Gaming will play Warriors Gaming Squad, who swept top seed Blazer5 Gaming, in the semifinals on Friday.
