Sam Asfahani, the head of content and media production for the NBA 2K League, announced in a Twitter thread that he decided to resign from his post in order to start his own company.
Asfahani played an integral role in developing the league’s content production and consistently improved the league’s Twitch stream throughout the season, finishing with a universally lauded NBA 2K League Finals package.
In a statement to DIMER, Asfahani wished the league well:
“I’m excited to build a company that focuses on community centric content, and helps give others a platform to create great content. I’m also really excited to experience Season 2 of the NBA 2K League as a fan because it promises to be even bigger than last year!”
DIMER wishes Sam the best of luck going forward with his new company.
