Basil “24K Dropoff” Rose has been dismissed and disqualified from the NBA 2K League for violating the league’s gambling rules, league Managing Director Brendan Donohue announced today.
Through its own investigation, the league determined 24K Dropoff violated rules against tipping NBA 2K League games, providing inside information to an individual who he knew was involved in betting on league games.
The NBA 2K League did not find the player attempted to fix any league games.
24K Dropoff entered the league in season one after being selected by Heat Check Gaming in the third round of the 2018 entry draft. The versatile player was later retained by the team for season two. He averaged 11.7 points per game, 3 rebounds per game and 3 assists per game in 2019.
