Our second sweep (and upset) of the night!
Again, it’s another controversial statement, as the Celtics have been the better team as of late. But regardless, the Celtics had the worse regular season (of the two), so we’re just pointing out technicalities.
The storyline was made very apparent once this series was announced.
Dimez vs. Fab. Number 1 vs Number 2. Who is really the best?
Fab now clearly stakes his claim to the top spot. He played a crucial part in Celtics Crossover advancing to the semifinals.
Celtics Crossover Gaming beat Mavs Gaming in game one, 63-55.
The game started off rocky, with both point guards turning the ball over twice before scoring a bucket. But once the teams got comfortable, you saw the Celtics progressively take advantage of every opportunity. Fab was able to finish off the game with a double-double, 22 points and 11 assists.
Game two went a similar route. The Mavs made the right adjustments and kept it close. Celtics Crossover led game two at halftime, 29-28. Then the Mavs proceeded to go on a 12-5 run to start the third quarter. The Celtics, however, fought through adversity to get back into the game then pulled away in the fourth to complete the sweep, 68-53.
The Celtics have been the hottest team in the league for quite some time now. It doesn’t look like they have any intentions to cool it down.
Celtics Crossover moves on to the semifinals to play the winner of 76ers GC and Pacers Gaming.
