Music duo Lemaitre will perform live at the HyperX Esports Arena in Las Vegas on Thursday, May 9 before the tip-off of the TURN Tournament, the NBA 2K League announced Wednesday.
Lemaitre, currently based in Los Angeles, is a Norwegian indie electronic duo. Ketil Jansen and Ulrik Denizou Lund formed the band in 2010. Lemaitre has a history of tech integration: their songs have been used by such companies as Apple and Google for new product releases, and the duo played at the first-ever live Minecraft concert.
The TURN Tournament is the first NBA 2K League in-season tournament to be held outside of the league studios in Long Island City, NY. All 21 teams will compete in a bracket-style tournament, seeded by performance in the regular season, for a chance at $180,000 in prize money. Teams seeded 12th through 21st will compete in play-in games on Thursday, May 9, while the tournament as a whole will culminte in the elimination round on Saturday, May 11. Pacers Gaming, 4-0 in regular-season play, is the tournament’s first overall seed.
Tune in live to hear Lemaitre on the league’s YouTube or Twitch channel beginning at 3:40 pm EST (12:40 pm PST).
