Chiquita “Chiquita” Evans, the first woman ever drafted into the NBA 2K League, will make her debut tonight at 7 p.m. EST against Blazer5 Gaming, Warriors Gaming Squad announced on Twitter.
With @Type out due to injury evaluation, we are excited to announce that Chiquita (@Quita) will be making her @NBA2KLeague debut today!
She will also play in the team’s second game of the night against Cavs Legion GC at 9 p.m. EST. With starting center Type out due to injury evaluation, it’s unclear where in the lineup Chiquita will play. During the NBA 2K League Draft Clash at SXSW, she played on a lockdown defender, but reports indicate that the Warriors may slot her into the lineup at power forward, with third-round pick Jin moving to center (or to lockdown defender, with second overall pick Gradient playing center).

Warriors Gaming Squad drafted Chiquita with the 56th pick in the 2019 NBA 2K League Entry Draft, the second pick of the fourth round. She was one of two women (alongside IcyGirl) to qualify for the 198-person draft pool. Multiple teams reportedly were interested in drafting her, but Warriors Gaming made it official early in the fourth round.
