Knicks Gaming will receive championship rings on April 2 for capturing the first-ever NBA 2K League title in 2018, the league announced Monday. In a corresponding move, Baron Rings has been named as the official ring supplier of the NBA 2K League.
The New York Knicks affiliate swept Heat Check Gaming in a best-of-three series to cap off a remarkable late-season turnaround. Knicks Gaming went 5-9, but qualified for the playoffs as the eighth and final seed after winning the automatic-bid Ticket tournament in miraculous fashion as the No. 15 seed. In the postseason, they upset No. 1 overall seed Blazer5 Gaming before coming back to beat Cavs Legion GC in a tight 2-1 semifinal series.
The team had previously hinted at championship rings in a Twitter post.

Hey @BaronRings 👀👋
It remains to be seen whether the Knicks have a chance to repeat in season two. The team protected stars Adam “iamadamthe1st” Kudeimati and Dayvon “Goofy757” Curry and retained Eric “yeynotgaming” Ward and Idris “IdrisDaGoat6” Richardson over the offseason. But the team lost Finals MVP Nate “NateKahl” Kahl in the expansion draft to new crosstown rivals Nets GC, and have a tough schedule throughout the year.
Knicks Gaming will begin its season the same night that it receives its rings with Tipoff Tournament group play against Nets GC and Magic Gaming. The team’s title defense begins with a regular season rematch against Heat Check Gaming in week one.
