Cavs Legion GC has revealed their new in-game jerseys on Twitter.
The jersey reveal comes after the NBA 2K League announced a league-wide, multi-year partnership with Champion Athleticwear. The outfitter will supply all 21 NBA 2K League teams with game, practice, and travel gear, as well as in-game uniforms.
“We feel that wine is one of the most unique colors in the league,” Cavs Legion GC Content and Marketing Manager Halina Malik told DIMER. “It’s the small details like the wine sword that will help translate the ‘Like No Other’ feel onto the virtual court for season 2.”
Cavs Legion GC will display their Quicken Loans’ Rocket Mortgage sponsorship on their in-game jerseys. Rocket Mortgage is a founding partner of Cavs Legion GC. Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert owns Quicken Loans, and the Cavaliers play at Quicken Loans Arena.
The team has not yet unveiled the jerseys they will wear live in the NBA 2K League studio. The in-game jerseys mirror the NBA options of “Icon” and “Association” edition jerseys, and the live jerseys may parallel that dualism as well.
The Cavs are the second NBA 2K League team to reveal their jersey, after Wizards District Gaming unveiled theirs after the Champion partnership was announced.
