Here are the top 50 players to watch in Europe, brought to you by the NAPX international scouting team.
1. @MGoCrzy
Twitch: twitch.tv/MGoCrzy
Position: PG
Main Archetype: 6 ft 4 Sharpshooting Playmaker
Ranking: #1 PG in Europe
Location: Koln, Germany
Team: @BayernBallers
Accolades: 2x EU Finals/2x EU Championships, 2x MVP
Strengths: Pick and Roll IQ, Offensive Tendencies, Scoring, Confidence, Vocal, Positive Attitude
Weaknesses: defense, helps from corners way too often, gets frustrated easily
MGoCrzy started playing Pro-Am in NBA 2K17, but didn’t make noise in the Pro-Am scene until NBA 2K18. In NBA 2K18 he polished his game as Point Guard for Trashformers and led his team to the finals of the VBO. He then got selected to join @BayernBallers, the first NBA 2K esports team to launch in Germany. MGoCrzy led Bayern to the MPBA Euroleague Finals, winning the Championship and MVP honors. He is great in the Pick and Roll with his 6 ft 4 Sharpshooting Playmaker, a very consistent scorer and one of the best offensive Point Guards in Europe this year. MGoCrzy’s weakness? He isn’t known for his defense and he doesn’t guard other ball handlers well. When playing off-ball defense he has a tendency to collapse off his man far too often. MGo only plays the PG position: he hasn’t shown versatility at other positions, as he doesn’t have a secondary position.
2. gorkem2333 @gorkem_gndz
Position: PG
Main Archetypes: Playmaking Shot Creator/Sharpshooting Playmaker
Ranking: #2 PG in Europe
Location: Turkey
Team: @Blackhorns2k but previously @Crowns_2k and @sapphirehawks
Accolades: 3 x EU finals/2x EU Championships, 2x EU MVP
Strengths: Great Dribbler, Best ISO/5 out PG in Europe, Scoring PG, Positive Attitude, passing lane steals.
Weaknesses: Over dribbles, Bad shot selection, court vision and low passing IQ, Terrible
decision maker in the clutch, lack of leadership
Gorkem became the best 5-Out scoring PG from Europe in NBA 2K18. His 5 out dribbling is by far the best in Europe, he has a variety of ways to score and doesn’t use snatchbacks. ‘High Rollers’ eventually changed their team name to Crowns then rebranded the team as @Blackhorns2k when they picked up Flagrant and Threat for the @Liga_EBE tournament. They had the best starting 5 in Europe, consisting of 5 Top 10 players they went on to win the @Liga_EBE Championship without much chemistry. Gorkem won his first MVP. They had another great run in the @VBOspain tournament, reaching back to back finals. Gorkem and his team lost game 1 to Trashformers. In game 2 things weren’t going their way either, Gorkem was playing awful and to top if off he had a power outage during game 2. A mysterious event, even his own teammates @FLXGRNT and @THHREAT doubted whether he was being honest about
the power outage so they left the team. An abrupt end to a potential Dynasty in EU.
Gorkem continued to play with Erenksk9 and kado_1903 as @Crowns_2k as they competed in @MPBAEuroLeague. The team just wasn’t the same but to make matters worse Erenks abruptly left to rejoin Blackhorns just before the quarterfinals. Crowns were eliminated in the quarterfinals by @perrosdepresa2k. Gorkem and Kado prioritized winning, so they rejoined @Blackhorns2k and reunited with Flagrant, Threat and Eren otherwise known as the ‘BH5’. The last tournament of NBA 2K18 went as expected for them, reaching the finals and sweeping ‘Perros De Presa 3-0 this time around and Gorkem was awarded his 2nd MVP. He has had a great year in NBA 2K18
as a lethal scorer but the rest of his game isn’t where you’d expect it to be.
3. Henni/Fake Tumor @HENNi__0
Positions: PG/SG/SF/PF
Main Archetype: 6 ft 7 Sharpshooting Playmaker.
Ranking: #3 PG in Europe
Location: France
Team: Now You Know, Red Devils/Overtime
Strengths: Dribbling, Shooting, Pick n roll Maestro, confidence, passing, tendencies, I.Q,
scoring
Weaknesses: defense, rage quits
The King of France. A five-star PG who can play multiple positions at a high level. Henni is a very experienced Point Guard and the best offensive point guard in Europe. His combination of elite dribbling IQ and his ability to use picks combined with his offensive consistency, he is a nightmare to guard. A Pick and Roll Maestro who makes great decisions with the ball and is also a good passer. He has been playing 2k for years and is known to put teams on his back. His downfall is the fact that he has had underwhelming success in tournaments, most notably a first-round exit with his team ‘Now You Know’ in January of MPBA EU. Henni’s only real weakness is his defense. Henni has a difficult time communicating with teammates who don’t speak his native French. This put Henni at a disadvantage when entering tournaments with players who speak English. If Henni had tournament success he would easily have been ranked #1, that’s how good he is.
4. xJoni_11 @IcyJoni
Positions: PG
Main archetype: 6 ft 7 Playmaking Shot Creator/6 ft 7 Sharpshooting Playmaker
Ranking: #5 PG in Europe
Location: Aragon, Spain
Team: @TeamBlitzers
Strengths: Scoring, 5 out, Passing, Stealing the ball with pokes and interceptions
Weaknesses: Struggles when using smaller players, sometimes full court presses too much, an impulsive player, gets frustrated too easily when things aren’t going his way
Joni started playing Pro-Am in NBA 2K16 with ‘Cleveland Cavaliers’ and with ‘Empire’ in 2K17. In NBA 2K18 they became affiliated with esports team @TeamBlitzers and consequently changed the name of the team to Blitzers. Joni and his team started off very well, with notable wins against Rise Above and YSL early on in NBA 2K18. They were respected from the start for being a fearless team, a real credit to Joni and his teammates. While most teams were afraid to lose, Blitzers loved to challenge themselves. To everyone’s surprise, Blitzers were eliminated in the first round of January’s MPBA EU tournament against a team everyone expected them to beat. That doesn’t change the fact that Joni was a top 5 PG in Europe all year long. He was very successful in 5 out with his shotmaking, and he later polished his PnR game as well. He is a great scorer. Joni is a student of the game; it’s obvious that he puts in a lot of effort to improve in all areas. His defense has improved a lot. Unfortunately, he hasn’t been able to lead his team to success in Europe this year, with three first-round exits, but they have had success in individual matchups and are a very tough team to beat.
5. Dabwith-Lyvs @lyvs2kda
Twitch: twitch.tv/lyvs2k
Positions: PG/SG
Main archetype: 6 ft 4 Sharpshooting Playmaker
Ranking: #4 PG in Europe, #2 SG in Europe
Location: France
Team: Red Devils/Overtime
Strengths: Pick and Roll Maestro, Aggressive Scorer, Confident, Shooting, Defense, Steals,
Timing Blocks
Weaknesses: Sometimes overly aggressive shooting himself out of games with bad shot
selection, toxic attitude, rage quits
If Henni is the King of France, Dabwith-Lyvs is the Prince. A high-velocity player who is
exceptional at scoring and his confidence is through the roof. Very similar to Henni, his
combination of dribble moves and usage of screens makes him extremely hard to keep up with. He hasn’t competed in many tournaments, he led Wone Crew to the top of their group, the toughest group in a tournament including Blackhorns and Blitzers. Coming out of the group, they were heavy favorites to get to the finals. Unfortunately for Wone Crew both Henni and Lyvs were on vacation. Wone Crew had to have a role player step in as PG which resulted in them losing in the quarterfinals vs Shutdown 2k. That doesn’t take away from how good Lyvs is, as he’s a versatile player who can also play on other archetypes, such as pure sharp and sharpshooting defender, at the highest level.
6. F-L-A-G-R-A-N-T @FLXGRNT
Twitch: twitch.tv/FLXGRNT
Positions: SG/PG/SF
Main archetype: 6 ft 4 Pure Sharpshooter/6 ft 4 Sharpshooting Playmaker
Ranking: #1 SG in Europe, #7 PG in Europe
Location: London
Team: @Blackhorns2k, Previously Datway, Now You Know
Accolades: 3x EU Finalist/2x EU Championships
Strengths: great pure sharp ball handler, great leader, coaches his players/team, defense, #1 taking charges, basketball IQ, very vocal, shooting, passing, positive criticism to teammates, hype man, passing lane steals, positive attitude
Weaknesses: sometimes tries to be too flashy, struggles with dribble moves at times, gets
frustrated at missing too many shots/not dribbling good which affects his performance, pick and pop passing, inconsistent as PG sometimes, baits too much
Aydin started playing Pro-Am in NBA 2K17 and has some US Pro-Am experience to his name, playing against many 2K League players such as Goofy, Mooty, Kennygotwork, Timelycook, ShawnWin and many more which is rare for a European player. In both NBA 2K17 and NBA 2K18 nobody played the PG Pure Sharpshooter role like Aydin has. Clever handles and a willing passer. He made a name for himself as a PG pure sharpshooter who knew how to score at will. Opposing teams would resort to a 3-2 zone but he would still rain 3’s with the smallest of openings. He moved to SG when Gorkem, Kado and Eren joined Blackhorns. Even after multiple patches left pure sharps useless as pick and roll ball handlers, in mid-April he dropped 50 points running the PnR with his pure sharp against #3 ranked Henni while only missing 2 shots the whole game. He has helped his team reach 3 Finals, winning 2 Championships as a shooting guard. The leader of his team, he helps get the best out of teammates even when they’re at the peak of their frustrations. Aydin enjoys competing as an underdog and loves to coach; on several occasions, he has beaten top European teams with very inexperienced players on his own squad. Even when Aydin and his brother @THHREAT parted ways with Gorkem, Kado and Eren and picked up inexperienced players in their place, they were still competitive with their former teammates and the other top teams in Europe. When playing as PG he guards other top ball handlers well. A defensive minded PG: even as a 6’4 pure sharp, when taller players cut on him he is very good at reading passing lanes for the steal and is second to none at taking charges.
7. kado_1903 @Kado_2K
Twitch: twitch.tv/kadiryukselll
Positions: C/PF
Main Archetypes: 7 ft 3 Sharpshooting Rebounder/ 7 ft 3 Rebounding Stretch Five
Ranking: #1 Ranked C in Europe
Location: Austria
Team: @Blackhorns2k but previously @Crowns_2k and @SapphireHawks
Accolades: 3x Finals/2x Championships (2 as PF, 1 as C)
Strengths: creating his own shot, post game with rebounding archetype, shooting, finishing under the basket, vocal, confidence
Weaknesses: big ego, passing out of the post, shot selection at times, lack of box out, hedging, often slips screen too early, can be toxic at times
Kado is very similar to his longtime frontcourt teammate Threat. They are the best frontcourt in Europe though both are considered centers. Both players are almost identical, although Kado is more aggressive at attacking the paint and loves to get into dominant position whenever he spots an opening (due to his experience in 1v1s). Kado started playing Pro-Am in NBA 2K18 and has played over 2000 games in NBA 2K18’s team Pro-Am mode, and his experience makes him stand out from other centers in Europe. His main strength is his pick and roll game, knowing how to score consistently on the roll with well-timed rolls and great positioning inside, though occasionally he can be too aggressive, slipping the screen without having an opening. His defense and rebounding are also strengths of his. His weakness is passing out of double teams down low, and he sometimes forces up bad shots when his teammate is wide open and visible.
8. I-T-H-R-E-A-T-l @THHREAT
Positions: C/PF/SF/SG
Main Archetype: 7 ft 1 Sharpshooting Rebounder
Ranking: #2 C in Europe
Location: London
Team: @Blackhorns2k & Previously Datway and NowYouKnow
Accolades: 3x Finals (2 as C, 1 as PF) 2x Championships
Strengths: can play multiple positions, hedge IQ, defense, effective screener, very vocal, post game with rebounding archetype, shooting, boxouts and rebounding, taking charges, positive attitude, team-first player will play whatever position is needed
Weaknesses: hedges too hard at times allowing easy roll for opposing C, sometimes goes for putbacks instead of kicking out to open man
Bilgin, aka Threat, has been has been playing Pro-Am since NBA 2K17. He played in the United States as a center with point guards such as djalabamafan13 and JLoading in NBA 2K17. Threat became a full-time C when Lycke left Blackhorns in November 2017. Then, Threat had experience playing C, but his main position had been at SG as a lockdown defender. He does all the little things right, with few flaws in his game. He is a very consistent center and specializes in defense and rebounding. He is the best rebounder in Europe: rarely will you ever see him be outrebounded, even when matched up with bigger centers, due to him consistently boxing out his man and knowing when to go up for the rebound. Threat is very defensive minded and doesn’t jump for every block like most centers. He makes sure to contest everything and gets countless stops every game that don’t show up on his stat sheet but rather is reflected in his opponent’s field goal percentage. Performances such as holding Milsostars’ 99 overall shot-creating post scorer to 0 points on 0/7 shooting from the field—without a defensive archetype—tells you what you need to know about Threat’s defensive game. The best rebounder/inside defender combo in Europe. He can play SF/PF/C at the highest level. Furthermore, he has little ego and a team-first attitude. He is a great vocal leader and has high basketball IQ.
9. Lizanity – @LIZanity__
Positions: SF/PF/C
Main archetype: 6 ft 11 sharpshooting rebounder
Ranking: #1 PF in Europe
Location: Germany
Team: @BayernBallers
Accolades: 2x EU Finalist/2x EU Championships
Strengths: can play 1-5, court vision, effective screener, hedge IQ, PnR/PnP IQ, shooting, pick-and-roll IQ, rebounding
Weaknesses: defense, reaches too often, rushes layups and dunks on roll, no low post offense, communication
Lizanity has been playing Pro-Am for years and has always been known as a good player. He has shown that he can play multiple positions at a high level, most notably as a forward or center. He spent much of his time from 2k17 playing with different teams in hopes of finding a long-term home. After searching for a long time he found solace with some fellow Germans in MGoCrzy, TrashbyCoachD, IBeCreative and others. Not before too long they formed ‘Trashformers” where they quickly became the #1 German team on PS4. Everyone knew Liz could contribute to any team’s success, but no one knew how much he could contribute until he transformed into a 6ft 11 sharpshooting Rebounder and started really finding his own identity, His speed and athleticism separated him from other big men but his IQ along with his experience helped him be an instrumental part of leading Trashformers to their first final appearance alongside MGoCrzy. He was matched up with Eren at the PF position, playing as a sharpshooting rim protector, but that didn’t stop him from putting up 23 points and grabbing 10 rebounds to help his team defeat Blackhorns and become @VBOspain champions. One of Lizanity’s weaknesses is that he tends to go straight up for dunks/layups off the roll, so patience is something he needs to work on. He never attempts any post moves, which does take away from his offensive presence but if you need a double-double machine look no further than Lizanity.
10. Erenksk9 @IHXNDLEZ_
Positions: SG/PG/PF
Main archetype: 6 ft 8 Sharpshooting Defender/6 ft 4 Sharpshooting Playmaker
Ranking: #6 PG in Europe
Location: Turkey
Team: @Blackhorns2k previously @Crowns_2k and @SapphireHawks
Accolades: 3x EU Finalist/2x EU Championships
Strengths: can play multiple positions, scoring IQ, dribbling, shooting, great penetrator, clutch performer
Weaknesses: big ego, defense, passing, court vision, toxic attitude, crashes boards at bad times, know-it-all mentality
Eren was a MyPark player and started playing Pro-Am in NBA 2K18 for Turkish team
@sapphirehawks, which also included kado_1903 and gorkem2333. Along with those 2 players, they decided to form their own team and named it ‘High Rollers’. Eren
played as a 7 ft 3 Rebounding Stretch Five and became very good at his role. He later started developing his game at his original PG position. Eren played many matchups and beat the best time and time again proving he deserves to be in the top 6 PG discussion. He hasn’t played many times in tournaments as a PG. In tournaments he plays as a Sharpshooting Defender. Eren doesn’t play particularly good on-ball defense with his defender; it’s actually pretty poor. He is always losing his matchup and putting himself in a mismatch situation. He is a versatile player, though, and is most effective as a sharpshooting playmaker. Although he has won two tournaments, mainly as a defender, his team would have been a lot more dominant if he played his role better. He
constantly reaches and face guards his matchup so almost every play resorts in an unwanted switch. Eren plays PG really well and has a score-first mentality, and he is so skilled on the sticks that sometimes you can’t blame him for scoring so often. That’s about all he does well as a PG though, since he is an unwilling passer and has terrible court vision and has never been seen to make a touch pass to a wide open teammate. Eren spends most games whining all game about his matchups luck or his teammates errors when he should be focused on his own errors. Eren doesn’t like listening to suggestions even if they help the team, he thinks he knows best at all
times and he refuses to play positions his team suggest. Overall he is one of the most
experienced and skilled players in Pro-Am, but just lacks basketball IQ and needs to really work on his attitude.
11. xMarokino_ @Ayoubskillz
Positions: C
Main archetype: 7 ft 3 Sharpshooting Rebounder
Ranking: #3 C in Europe
Location: France
Team: @RedDevilsNBA
Strengths: #1 at intercepting passing lanes in EU, shooting, rebounding, defense, consistency
Weaknesses: forces up bad shots, no low post game, get’s frustrated too easily
Marokino has been playing 2k for a long time with his French teammates but became known in NBA 2K18 playing alongside Lyvs and Henni in RedDevils. He isn’t a versatile player but he is an effective Centre who makes every PG think twice before passing to their C on the role, His IQ and positioning after being beat on the roll makes him a nuisance for any opponent with his deadly interceptions. Red Devils have only entered 1 tournament @VBOspain but dropped out of the tournament after disbanding their Elite 6 team following back to back matchup losses to @Blackhorns2k’s backup team. Outside of tournaments Marokino has established himself as a top C in matchups against other top European teams by keeping up with most bigs on a consistent basis. Most bigs shoot the ball off the catch but Marokino has a good tendency of creating space after the catch to get himself an open look too. Sometimes he is known to force up bad shots down the stretch, His post game is also an area he could improve. He is an elite C out of France.
12. @avemario32
Positions: PF/C
Main archetype: 7 ft 1 Sharp Shooting Post Scorer/Sharpshooting Rebounder
Ranking: #4 C in Europe
Location: Spain
Team: @TeamBlitzers
Strengths: top 3 post scorer in EU, PnR/PnP, passing big, well-timed cuts, vocal, inside position
Weaknesses: defense, impatience, goes for blocks too much, isn’t aggressive against bigger defenders
Mario Ortega aka avemario32 has been around since NBA 2K16, playing for Cleveland Cavaliers. In 2k17 he played for Empire and now plays for @TeamBlitzers and is one of the best post scorers in Europe. He is a talented post scorer who also has good court vision and well-timed passes out of the post. He has been active all year with his team and made a big impact in the competitive Pro-Am scene. The duo of @avemario32 and @IcyJoni has been among the best in Europe. A talented C and a talented PG is vital to any teams success and they both play their roles extremely well. Shockingly though, @TeamBlitzers have participated in 3/5 tournaments this year and have been eliminated in the first round every time. Mario has also competed in 2 tournaments without his team and suffered the same fate, again being eliminated in the first rounds. Mario is more of an offensive player with some defensive weaknesses that he can improve on. He tends to jump for blocks too often and doesn’t make switches quick enough at times allowing opposing point guards too much space to hit the mid-range jumper or take the
easy drive. His PnR defense and low post defense also need improvement to complete his all-around game. He also collapses off corners way too often to go for blocks.
13. DabWith-GC
Twitch: twitch.tv/CallMeGC
Positions: C
Main archetype: 7 ft 2 sharpshooting rebounder
Ranking: #5 C in Europe
Location: Spain
Team: @Perrosdepresa2k previously played for @UA2K18 & MostHatedEU
Accolades: 3x Finals
Strengths: effective screener, shooting, PnR/PnP IQ, post game as rebounder, vocal, inside
position, positive attitude
Weaknesses: PnR defense, jumping too often for blocks, composure sometimes when the game is slipping away from his team, rage quits
Grancheese was a MyPark player in NBA 2k17, he started playing Pro-Am in NBA 2K18. He has been streaming his Pro-Am games throughout the year and became a fan favourite to watch with the combination of how vocal he is, his animated voice and overall skill. His team signed up for the first NBA 2K18 European tournament ‘MPBA EU’. A mixture of players from Datway & Underachievers they played under the name ‘Most Hated EU’. They were underdogs from the start as their first round opponents were the then #2 ranked Pro-Am team in Europe ‘Now You Know’. Everyone expected them to be eliminated in the very first round, but they studied their opponents strengths well. They were smart as they used a defensive big man to stop LYCKE’s athletic finisher and a defensive guard to stop Henni. ‘Kuba09’ and ‘TheFinesseK1n9’ played a big part in stopping the 2 man game of Henni and Lycke on the defensive end. GC wasn’t part of
their PnR defense because of the gameplan but performed well for his team on offense. ‘Most Hated EU’ defeated ‘Now You Know’ 2-1 to advance to the next round to everyone’s surprise, nobody expected that result. ‘We here’ became their catchphrase and they continued with that momentum going into round 2, by defeating a team who also pulled a first-round upset in KMS Russia. Most Hated were in the finals vs Rise Above, the then # 1 Pro-Am team in Europe. Unfortunately for ‘Most Hated EU’ ‘Rise Above’ were far too strong as they dominated GC and his team in a 2-0 sweep. GC joined @PerrosDePresa2k and has made a huge difference for them. Since his arrival they have reached back to back finals in both the MPBAEuroLeague and BuzzerBeater Tournaments. You could say he’s the Patrick Ewing of Europe with 3 finals appearances but 0 rings.
14. Kondrii – @UrScaredOrWhat
Positions: SF/PF/SG
Main archetype: 6 ft 11 Sharpshooting Athletic Finisher
Ranking: #1 SF in Europe
Location: Norway
Team: Rise Above
Accolades: 1x Finals/1 x Championships
Strengths: Can play many positions, Great fast break, IQ, Vocal, Inside position, passing lane steals
Weaknesses: Shooting, Tends to over help from the corner too often, no post game
Kondri is very experienced, he has been playing at the highest level since NBA 2K16. In 2K17 he reached the finals of the official NBA 2K ‘RTTASG’ European tournament. He was a starter for FalsexProphets along with @GoonerEU and other talented players. Their opponent in the finals was YSL and unfortunately for them, they lost 0-2 in the finals to YSL. After the loss, they disbanded but Kondri went on to form strong teams with ‘NHalers’ & ‘New Wave’. In NBA 2K18 now under the name ‘Rise Above’ Kondri and his teammates dominated Europe. Winning games at an extremely high percentage and Kondrii’s offense was a huge part of it. Kondri started the trend in Europe to play SF with a PF build. He really dominated the fastbreak with his 6 ft 11 Sharpshooting Athletic Finisher and by the time his team got the defensive rebound, Kondri would already in be in perfect position to score on the other end. He and his team won the MPBA EU Tournament in January. They stopped playing after the tournament and months later their PG @GoonerEU was drafted to the @NBA2KLeague. After Rise Above, Kondrii remained slightly active in competitive Pro-Am playing in pickup games. He also competed in @Liga_EBE with Oregon Ducks with the likes of MGoCrzy, avemario32, Samtheruler and WelshJordy, but while he was away his team were eliminated by eventual champions Blackhorns.
15. xDavid7-
Positions: PG
Main archetype: 6 ft 7 Sharpshooting Playmaker/6 ft 8 Pure Playmaker
Ranking: #8 PG in Europe
Location: Spain
Team: @Perrosdepresa2k
Accolades: 2x Finals (back to back)
Strengths: Scoring, Dribbling, Passing
Weaknesses: Over dribbling, Inconsistent shooting, Defense
David is a rather new player in the EU comp scene. He wasn’t known in the first half of the 2k18 season, but in the second half, he made a name for himself and his team. He and his team reached the semifinals of the @VBOspain Tournament to everyone’s surprise. Disappointed with the result, David signed Dabwith-GC to his team. They became a very good duo, with David constantly improving his game and GC’s experience as C. They started to become stronger in the comp scene by winning more matchups and most notably, they made back to back finals appearances in both @MPBAEuroLeague and @BuzzerBeaterFR Tournaments. They are known now as a top team in Europe and widely respected for it. David was a big part of their success so we rank him as #15 in our list because of his impact in European Tournaments.
16. Dabwith-Adaxx
Positions: C/PF/SF
Main archetype: 7 ft 3 Sharpshooting Rebounder/7ft 3 Rebounding Stretch
Ranking: #6 C in Europe
Location: France
Team: Red Devils/Overtime
Strengths: Can play multiple positions, Shooting, Post game, Box out, Help defense is timed well, rebounding
Weaknesses: Overly confident resulting in bad shot selection at times, PnR defense,
communication
Adaxx is from Algeria but resides in France, He’s been pretty active this year in NBA 2K18 and has spent the majority of his time playing with Red Devils/Overtime or playing Pickup games against other top players/teams. He is a very confident player and is not someone you want to leave wide open as he will more than likely make you pay for your mistakes every time, He excels as a C more than any other position showing he can hang with the best on many occasions. Adax is an offensive threat but his defense, especially on the PnR, needs improving as he tends to hedge too hard allowing his opponent to roll too easily. His post game is underrated, even without a post build his post moves will surprise you. He sometimes tends to force up shots when down in game, but when focused Adax has one of the deadliest Pops of any big man. All French players excluding Henni have a tendency to take contested shots at times, maybe it just comes with being overly confident but there’s a reason 5
of them are in the top 20.
17. @SamThaRuler
Positions: 1-5
Main archetype: 6ft 7 Pure Playmaker/6ft 11 Sharpshooting Athletic
Ranking: #9 PG in Europe
Location: London
Team: Oregon Ducks
Strengths: Can play every position, Shooting, Vocal, IQ
Weaknesses: Defense (ESPECIALLY OFFBALL) , Box out
Sam is one of the most versatile players in Europe as he can play 1-5, He will give you good production from every position but shines brightest as a playmaker. Although his team ‘Oregon Ducks wasn’t very active this year, sam assembled a team with names such as @MGoCrzy and others to compete in @Liga_EBE, they were the favorites and had a lot of support but were defeated by @Blackhorns2k. Sam continued to play pickup games after the tournament exit and continued to show versatility in playing whatever position necessary. He competed in the @MPBAEuroLeague with @Crowns_2k. They were eliminated in the quarterfinals by @perrosdepresa2k which was a huge upset in the EU Pro-Am community. Sam hasn’t had tournament success but that doesn’t take away from his skill set. His most notable weakness is his defense, especially off ball, in fact, it has cost his team dearly in tournaments on multiple occasions.
18. Mel @Melvinho
Positions: SF/PF/C
Main archetype: 6ft 11 Sharpshooting Rim Protector/Sharpshooting Rebounder 7ft 1
Location: Germany
Team: Greengos but previously @Bundesdunk
Accolades:
Strengths: Can play multiple positions, Shooting, Vocal, Dribbling as big man, Blow-bys, PnR, PnP, Confidence, Can iso with nice dribble moves, Box out
Weaknesses: Jumps too often for blocks, Doesn’t hedge, PnR defense, Gets frustrated quite
easily, Loses focus when his shots aren’t falling, underperforms in the clutch, post game.
Don’t let the name fool you, Melvinho isn’t related to Ronaldhino 😀 but he is a skillful
Forward/Centre in NBA 2k and can break his opponent down with his nice tricks such as his double hopstep. Mel has been very active throughout the year playing with his team Bundesdunk or pick up games when they aren’t available. He was one of many that tried out for @BayernBallers but with a weak roster on his tryout team, his chances were low from the get-go as he wasn’t able to showcase his skill. When @BayernBallers announced their final roster many were shocked as to why they didn’t sign the
talented and versatile German but I guess it’s their loss because Mel makes any team he plays for better. Mel is very reliable as a big man but his PnR defense IQ is one of the biggest holes in his game, he tends to focus on the opposing big man too often rather than help his PG out by hedging. Another weakness is that he jumps for blocks without any patience which can sometimes reward him with a block but it punishes him more often than not. Since Bundesunk lost their main PG to Bayern, Mel decided to join Greengos for the remainder of 2k18. Greengos made a strong push in MPBA Euroleague by reaching the semifinals where they would meet Bayern Ballers. Mel not only led both teams in rebounds, he also only missed 1 shot during the series but it his efforts went in vain as Bayern swept Greengos 2-0.
19. iGotTheRim– @Anis_2k
Positions: 1-5
Main archetype: 6ft 8 Sharpshooting Defender/7ft 3 Pure Stretch
Ranking: #4 SG in Europe
Location: France
Team: @RedDevilsNBA/Overtime but previously @Crowns_2k
Accolades:
Strengths: Can play any position, Defense, Fastbreak IQ, Confident, Steals, Vocal
Weaknesses: spams steals, Shooting consistency at times, bad shot selection at times,
sometimes cuts while big man is rolling.
iGotTheRim– aka Anis is a very versatile player who can play 1-5, he has spent the entire year playing many matchups with his main team @RedDevilsNBA. When active they were a great team that rarely lost, easily the #1 French team by a landslide. Anis mainly played as a 6ft 8 sharpshooting defender for Red Devils and was pivotal in their success, they were one of the best teams at slowing down 5 out mainly due to his defense. He can also play other positions but his consistency as a defender triumphs his abilities on other archetypes. Anis made history in MPBA Euroleague, he had twice as many chances as anyone else to win the tournament due to the admins’ oversight. He managed to get eliminated with the first team he signed up with, then joined a second team only to get eliminated once again. He hasn’t performed well in tournaments but has been playing good in the competitive scene.
20. FOE-_Dragucci @illdrago2k
Positions: SG/SF
Main archetype: 6ft 4 Pure Sharpshooter
Ranking: #3 SG in Europe
Location: Norway
Team: @the_greengos previously Underacheivers, Most Hated EU, Datway
Strengths: great pure sharp ball handler, shooting, fastbreak IQ, basketball IQ, confident, crafty penetrator
Weaknesses: defense, sometimes baits too much, not very vocal, not a leader
Dragucci is a great sharpshooter, with or without the ball. He made a name for himself in NBA 2K18 as a ball handling sharpshooter, running the pick and roll with then-teammate Dabwith-GC. He was very smart in how he ran the high pick and roll as well, using his outside shooting to get inside. Dragucci was part of the Cinderella story team ‘Most Hated EU’ back in January of the MPBA EU tournament, as a skilled sharpshooter he often led in scoring for his team. When discussing sharpshooters PG’s, only 3 players have played that position extremely well in FLXGRNT, Dabwith-Lyvs and Dragucci. When sharpshooters got patched, FLXGRNT and Dabwith-Lyvs showed their versatility and made an impact in Europe with playmaking archetypes while Dragucci remained as a role player. He played SG/SF for @the_greengos for the remainder of NBA 2K18 and had a good run with them.
21. iiDontGuardMe @CallMeChriss__
Positions: SF/PF/C
Main archetype: 6 ft 11 Sharpshooting Athletic Finisher
Location: Germany
Team: @bundesdunk
Chris plays the Sharpshooting Athletic Finisher role extremely well, leaks out on the fast break at the right time and shoots very consistently from corners. An important part of Bundesdunk’s impact in Europe this year.
22. @zaeppooo
Positions: PG/SF
Main archetype: 6 ft 5 Sharpshooting Playmaker
Location: Germany
Team: @bayernballers previously @bundesdunk
Eric isn’t the most skilled PG and struggles with shooting, as he’s more known for his leadership and IQ helping @bundesdunk make an impact in Europe this year and eventually being selected as a @bayernballers player.
23. @Mariobros_33
Positions: PG
Main archetype: 6 ft 7 Sharpshooting Playmaker
Location: Poland
Team: @the_greengos
Accolades: 1x EU Finalist
Mario reached the @Liga_EBE finals with his team Greengos. He is a scoring point guard and a decent dribbler too, but lacks court vision and passing IQ. Can be predictable on offense and isn’t known for his defense.
24. @xIBeCreative
Positions: C
Main archetype: 7 ft 3 Pure Stretch
Location: Munchen, Germany
Team: @bayernballers previously @Trashformers2k
Accolades: 2x EU Finalist, 2x EU Champion
Felix Can is the best stretch big in Europe hands down, helping his team win multiple
tournaments. He plays his role very well and shoots very consistently, His defense is better than most stretch bigs.
25. Kuba09 @2kkuba09
Positions: C/SF/PF/SG
Main archetype: 7 ft 2 Sharpshooting Rebounder/sharpshooting athletic 6ft 9
Location: German
Team: @BayernBallers previously Most Hated EU
Accolades: 2x EU Finalist, 1 x Champion
Kuba is a versatile player who can play SG-C at a high level. He was instrumental in ‘Most Hated’s success reaching the finals of MPBA EU back in January. Since then, he has been a good player at other positions such as SF/PF/C. He played SF during his championship run with @BayernBallers and is a good addition to any team. His weaknesses are his PnR defense, doesn’t really hedge or play as an experienced C defensively. He sometimes doesn’t roll when he has it either.
26. Milsostar78200 @IVIiLsO
Positions: C/PF
Main archetype: 7 ft 3 Shot Creating Post Scorer
Location: French
Team: Cleveland Cavaliers
Milso has been playing 2k for a very long time and it shows on the court, The only reason he isn’t higher on the list is because of the lack of comp wins and tournament success he has had this year. His team has never entered any tournaments, so that has an overall effect on his teams ranking. If we had to compare Milso’s game to an NBA player past or present, Hakeem Olajuwon would come to mind, as he is known for his deadly up and under game as well as being able to execute a wide variety of post moves efficiently. Most top teams in NBA 2K18 rely on pick-and-roll or 5-out as their main offense but with Milso’s team they run sets every play which limits his productivity, Simply put, if milso spent the whole game running PnR he would probably be in the top 3 C list—that’s how consistent he is offensively. His defense isn’t quite on the level of other top Centre’s though, and it’s hard to asses his defense because his team has always run a 3-2 zone.
27. Pocholo-Fiesta @DarioGuirao
Positions: SF/PF
Main archetype: 6ft 10 sharpshooting athletic
Location: Spain
Team: @TeamBlitzers
Pocholo-Fiesta is a very good role player for Blitzers. He does all the right things you’d expect a player to do off-ball. He leaks out, helping his team have an effective fastbreak, and rotates well. Pocholo is a player to look out for in the future.
28. Rocar1999 @rocargsw
Positions: SG
Main archetype: 6 ft 8 Pure Sharpshooter
Location: Spain
Team: @TeamBlitzers
Rocar is one of the best spot-up sharps in Europe, an elite sniper. He even runs some pick and roll and does it effectively. He has good PnR IQ and has made an impact for Blitzers all year round as a constant starter. Good at leaking on the fastbreak too but just needs to improve his defense.
29. @vosk87
Positions: C
Main archetype: 7 ft 3 Sharpshooting Rebounder
Location: Spain
Team: @the_greengos
Accolades: 1x EU Finalist
Vosk is a complete player offensively, a very good shooter on the pop and very good diver on the roll. He is a rebounding machine, but his PnR defense is a weak area of his game. He has some post moves and helped his team Greengos reach the @Liga_EBE finals.
30. RafaelTGR @rafaelTGR2K
Twitch: twitch.tv/rafaeltgr
Positions: SG/PF
Main archetype: 6 ft 6 Sharpshooting Defender/ 7 ft 3 pure stretch
Location: Spain
Team: @TeamBlitzers
Rafael is a great player and very defensive minded. He is versatile, but specializes at the SG position. He is a very good on-ball defender and will give any PG a hard time. If Rafa were more active he would be higher on the list. He has great IQ and is a great help defender. Rafa is one of the most respected guys in the community and has a big following as a Spanish 2k YouTuber and streamer.
31. KaM-DawKiNs-Jr @DawkinsKams
Positions: SG
Main archetype: 6 ft 6 Sharpshooting Defender
Location: France
Team: @G7Minotaurs
Kam is a very good 2k player. His team run more of a team offense and rely heavily on a 3-2 zone defense, but Kam stands out as a defender. He doesn’t just defend well but is a very confident shooter and has great tendencies. He times his cuts very well and leaks out on fast breaks for easy points.
32. official_coldeez
Positions: SG
Main archetype: 6 ft 6 Pure Sharpshooter
Location: Russia
Team: @ezzaf_2k
If you’ve ever played against Russian Pro-Am team ‘Ezzaf’ you will know that their point guard is still a work in progress, but you will also know that official_coldeez is a lights-out sharpshooter that doesn’t miss very often. A sniper with a lot of confidence.
33. XxVince_67 @TheLifeOfRubio
Positions: PG
Main archetype: 6 ft 4 Pure Playmaker
Location: France
Team: @SkillzGang
Vince is a very good point guard on offense in terms of how well he uses screens. He’s also a very good on-ball defender. His weakness, though, is not making the right pass when his team runs plays, not reading the opposing teams defense. His team SBGang have probably the best offensive style of play in Europe this year, a mixture of pick-and-roll with some nice sets that they run very efficiently.
34. @GT3spo
Positions: C
Main archetype: 7 ft 3 Sharpshooting Post Scorer/ 7 ft 3 Pure Glass Cleaner
Location: France
Team: @G7Minotaurs
GT3 and Milsostar make for a great frontcourt and have done so for a few years. They both are talented post scorers but can play other C roles at a high level. Regardless of GT3’s archetype, he can find ways to score. I think he doesn’t get the recognition he deserves because of his team’s style of play and the fact that he doesn’t ask for matchups like others.
35. Andy_Jone-
Positions: PG
Main archetype: 6 ft 5 Playmaking Shot Creator
Location: France
Team: @SkillzGang
Andy is a very well rounded player, a very skilled dribbler, and scorer who can create his own shot and also create for his teammates. Andy is a very good on-ball defender. His weaknesses are that he rushes on offense when under pressure and helps too much on defense. He has years of experience in 2k and would be ranked higher if he had been more active this year and showed what he could do on a more consistent basis.
36. Cizzle96 @aDecentDouche
Positions: SG/SF/PF/C
Main archetype: Too many to name
Location: Sweden
Team: @YSL_United2k
It doesn’t make much sense to see Cizzle ranked 36th, but he has been far too inactive this year to earn a higher spot. He is a great role player and has a very high IQ. He is a team-first player who can play whatever position you need him to play. In case you didn’t know, in NBA 2K17 Cizzle was in the starting lineup for YSL as they defeated FalsexProphets 2-0 in the official NBA 2K RTTASG EU Finals.
37. Spitles @Spitles_
Positions: C
Main archetype: 7 ft 3 Sharpshooting Post Scorer
Location: France
Team: @SkillzGang
Andry is a very good C and has been playing Pro-Am since NBA 2K16. He is the team owner of SBGang, a very well-known name in European Pro-Am. He is a good post scorer but also a very good passer out of the post. A vocal leader but his weakness is his off-ball defense and his habit of over-helping when not necessary.
38. @TrashByCoachD
Position: SG/SF/PF
Main Archetype: 6 ft 6 Sharpshooting Defender
Location: Koln, Germany
Team: @BayernBallers
Accolades: 3x EU Finals/2x EU Championships
Dom aka TrashByCoachD has serious accolades and has had great success with @Trashformers2k as well as @BayernBallers. He won the VBO finals with his team and then after joining Bayern he and his team won another Championship. The reason Dom is so low on this list is because despite being the defender of his team he doesn’t play his role well when matched up against the top point guards in Europe. He also struggles to shoot from corners. He reached the finals of LigaEBE tournament with Greengos.
39. nikita_taganrog @NikMedVed
Positions: SF/PF
Main archetype: 6 ft 10 Rebounding Athletic Finisher/ 6 ft 8 Sharpshooting Athletic Finisher
Location: Russia
Team: @CskaMoscow2k
Nikita started playing Pro-Am in NBA 2K18, he was unknown and had no Pro-Am experience when @FLXGRNT gave him a tryout with @Blackhorns2k. FLXGRNT noticed how well he listened to instructions and how serious he was about competing. A language barrier made it difficult to communicate in games, as he speaks Russian with little to no English, and thus his tenure with Blackhorns was short lived. But he went on to the semifinals in MPBA EU, eliminating Blitzers in an upset. He is a standout among Russian players in Europe.
40. TheFinesseK1n9 @Expenslve_
Positions: SF/PF
Main archetype: 6 ft 11 Sharpshooting Athletic Finisher
Location: Israel
Team: Datway previously Mosat Hated EU
Accolades: 1x Final with Most Hated EU
Yairi was in charge of defending LYCKE during his teams MPBA EU first-round series win over Now You Know. He is a team-first player who is always willing to grind a new MyPlayer to give his team an edge. He has really good communication. His weakness is his shooting.
41. Supermanager_acb @marcpoal
Positions: SF
Main archetype: 6 ft 10 Slashing Sharpshooter
Location: Spain
Team: @PerrosDePresa2k
Accolades: 2x Finals (Back to Back)
Every time you play against Perros, this guy gives them great production from the three-point line, punishing typical baiting defenders. He times his cuts very well too. He is the third highest scorer on back-to back finalist team Perros De Presa. An efficient shooter and someone who shows class to his opponents too.
42. @Panduroz_
Positions: SF
Main archetype: 6 ft 10 Pure Sharpshooter
Location: Denmark
Team: Rise Above, had a run with Crowns this year.
Some are harsh towards Panduro because he didn’t get up a lot of shot attempts when playing for Rise Above, but having played him several times, he was very efficient with the ball. A comp player regardless of what position he plays, he has a high basketball IQ and good tendencies.
43. @WelshJordy
Positions: C
Main archetype: 7 ft 3 Pure Stretch
Location: Wales
Team: @Crowns_2k
Welsh Jordy is a very good 2k player. He doesn’t play that often but when he does he knows the game well. He has good tendencies and is a reliable shooter. He is someone who played a little US Pro-Am this year with a notable victory over @Throwndown2k.
44. @Marconite24_
Positions: SF
Main archetype: 6 ft 8 Pure Sharpshooter, 6 ft 8 Slashing Shot Creator
Location: Palermo, Italy
Team: @QM_Nation
Marco is a very good SF. Although rather unknown, he is a lights-out sharpshooter and even shoots very well on his slashing shot creator. He is great at getting into the passing lanes for steals and leaks out very well on the fastbreak.
45. Lammf @Lammf2k
Positions: SG
Main archetype: 6 ft 6 Pure Sharpshooter
Location: Turkey
Team: @TurkishKings
Lammf didn’t have any success with Turkish Kings but he remained rather active this year and reached the semifinals of the @BuzzerBeaterFR tournament with his team ‘Shutdown 2k’. He is a very good shooter but is lacking defensively.
46. Kingofassists23-
Positions: PG
Main archetype: 6 ft 4 Sharpshooting Playmaker
Location: Italy
Team: @QM_Nation
Ilyas is a smart PG, not the most skilled, but nobody declared it a requirement to be a good dribbler when playing PG. I don’t like his style on offensem abusing snatchbacks, but he does what it takes to help his team. He has good court vision and can be a very consistent shooter too. His on-ball defense is good as well. He is mostly known for getting his team QM nation to the semifinals of the MPBA Euro League Tournament.
47. @Benderos_PL
Positions: PF/C/PG
Main archetype: Sharpshooting Rim Protector
Location: Poland
Team: @the_greengos
Accolades: 1x Finals
Benderos hasn’t made a huge impact this year as a big man, playing more of a supportive role at PF. He can have good games, but has been too much of a role player this year. He did help his team reach the finals of the @Liga_EBE tournament where they lost to @Blackhorns2k.
48. @GuardHimCoach
Positions: SF/SG/C
Main archetype: 6 ft 11 Sharpshooting Athletic Finisher
Location: Germany
Team: @uuulmer_eSports
Accolades: 1x Finals, 1x Champion with @Trashformers2k
Niko is a good player who can play many positions at a high level. He is best on his
sharpshooting athletic finisher and has good tendencies on that build. A great communicator with a positive attitude. His weak areas are boxing out and defense. He also he needs to improve his IQ as a big since he started playing at C.
49. Deno
Positions: PG
Main archetype: 6 ft 4 Sharpshooting Playmaker
Location: Germany
Team: FREEBANDALLSTARZ
Deno’s been around for a long time in ProAm. In NBA 2K18 he started out as a sharpshooter who ran PnR quite effectively, but always lacked defense awareness.
Later in the game he made a playsharp and has been very effective in PnR. He’s not the best dribbler but knows how to use a screen effectively and how to shoot the lights out. Defense has always been a weak area of his, especially his awareness.
50. Djerinson @JayDeeEZAF
Positions: PG
Main archetype: 6 ft 5 sharpshooting playmaker
Location: Russia
Team: @ezzaf_2k
Welcome Djerinson, the first female 2k player to make an official top player list. Ezzaf have been fairly active this year and have kind of come out of nowhere, but Jay has been quite impressive in her first year playing NBA 2K18, with some notable wins over the likes of Blackhorns, Crowns, and many more good teams. Her shooting at times is streaky but she shows glimpses of being a top point guard; she just needs time to work on her game but is definitely worthy of being in the top 50.
