The NBA 2K League announced its plans to narrow down combine participants into the draft pool via Twitter and its website on Thursday afternoon.
The league will contact 250 players for interviews in late February and March and then narrow it down again to 102 players to be available for the draft in late March.
Grant Paranjape, Director of Esports for Monumental Sports Entertainment, confirmed on Twitter Monday evening that the NBA and Take-Two Interactive, the publisher of the NBA 2K series, will be selecting the draft pool.
The release included a statement saying that the league is “carrying out in-depth analysis on a range of criteria including combine play, statistics and the online application to determine the top 250 players.”
Players who did not make the top 250 will be notified of their status as well.
